Bio - Recently Commissioned at the Pacific Union College Church, Pastor Jessica Shine has spent three years developing The Gathering, an intergenerational Sabbath morning worship experience. Her passion is worship and outreach and much of her time is spent connecting community members with college students and building opportunities for service. She has shared this passion at rallies and churches, on mission trips, and in small groups. She guided students from her small groups who were led to raise money to build a house of refuge for orphans in Peru. In the one day event, called REVO PUC, the students and community members raised nearly $10,000 to save the lives of victimized children.
Pastor Jessica’s vision is to bring church members and students together through excellent, inclusive worship that focuses on a spirit of conversation with God and community in Christ; to provide students with the experience of a successful church family that is both meaningful and adaptable. “Success brings success,” says Pastor Jessica. Once students have experienced dynamic relationships within the church body, they’ll see how it’s possible for them to create similar relationships in other congregations when they move on as leaders of our faith.
Pastor Jessica is an avid snowboarder and enjoys the outdoors. She loves writing, singing, being with family, and most of all – good laughs with friends.
